This was a short novella from Bella Love-Wins & Jenika Snow, like they did last time with Lila and Logan's story, "Wrangling his Virgin", and it was an awesome short story as well :)

This one is a best friends to lovers story where our heroine, Marie, and our hero, Rowan have been best friends for many years... our heroine harboring her feelings for our blind hero, who has finally realized he's in love with Marie yet still doesn't say anything, until a lecherous veterinarian who Marie works for, starts showing interest in her, then his inner caveman instincts come out ;), and decides to "finally" claim what's always been in front of his face, what's always been his :)

Marie has been in love with her best friend, Rowan, since childhood, but thinks she's not enough woman for him and doesn't want to lose their friendship so she stays silent... it isn't until Rowan kisses her because he wanted to stake his claim on her (this was fueled by jealousy) is that she's confused because he's never shown interest in her as a woman (I liked that once Rowan's realized his true feelings for Marie, he was celibate, there was no other woman for him :)).

It takes a couple of days for these two to "finally" get their head out of their butts and communicate properly and then sexy time proceeds... ;)

We also get glimpses of Lila and Logan from "Wrangling his Virgin" and I loved that these two stories were somehow interconnected to one another :) <3
