This is the first story that I've read from the author, Mia Taylor but after reading the prologue of this story, I was intrigued about what the story would be like and what was the true background story behind a mother abandoning her four sons and it was heartbreaking to read the thoughts of the mother and then the main character, Cypher who was only five years old at the time, he didn't understand why this was happening to them but that he somehow felt the sadness radiating from their mother. I must admit, I shed several tears because you could feel the hopelessness, the sorrow, the despair and pain of the mother and her children. 

Now, the main characters, Chloe who is human and her man, Cypher, who's actually her fated mated and a bear shifter meet when Chloe goes to one of his concerts and gets attacked, unbeknownst to her, by another bear shifter but this one is very cruel and does cause some problems for the couple almost near the end... Can't spoil it for you guys, so go check out this story 😉 

Chloe hasn't had it easy either, her family, well, I definitely didn't like any of them, so let's just leave it at that and you guys will decide when you read how her family treats her but I'm almost 100% certain, you guys will agree with me on disliking them.

I also think that's why Chloe and Cypher are fated mates, two soul-mates that are only complete when they are together, when they feel lonely in the world and can be surrounded by so many people, yet still feel all alone, until Chloe and Cypher's eyes meet and the connection is made and Cypher may understand what's going on but to Chloe, it's crazy and too fast but it feels so right... of course, a few misunderstandings and miscommunications get in their way to being together but at the end, you can never be too far from your mate, no matter what excuse you use Cypher, yeah, I'm talking to a fictional character in my blog, based on a scene; acting like he was only finding Chloe again to protect her... yeah that was part of the reason but not the entire thing! You needed her, simple as that. Why do men need to complicate things and why don't us women, explain ourselves better? Guess, that's just the way the world revolves.

But, I will say this, this story I think is just the beginning of the Forsaken Shifters because we still need to find the other three brothers that were separated fifteen years ago when they were left in the orphanage that their mother left them in and I'm so excited to see how the other brothers are, who their mates will be and if we finally find out what happened to their mother and where is their father?...
