I've always been a huge fan of Alexa Riley and her hot, steamy, instant love short stories and the long ones too ;) and again I wasn't disappointed by reading her latest, "Pretty Girl". This was an amazing story, at least for me because it portrayed how you can have it all; the fame, the money, the people around you that act as though they're truly your friends but aren't, and at the end, you'll feel all alone and that's how Mila felt. Sometimes, you can't even count on your own family because they're the first that take advantage of you.
This was definitely the case for the young supermodel, Mila, since she was discovered when she was only 5 years old. She's always been in the spotlight after that and now that's brought on some problems with crazed fans and a stalker but it also brought Jax, her bodyguard, who at first when they met, she didn't exactly know he was her bodyguard but I can't everything for you so go read this :)
Anyways, he's her Jax, her bodyguard, her protector, the love of her life, her everything, her forever <3 And for Jax, she's everything light, sweet, beautiful and good in the world and he's willing to do anything to protect her from anything who dares to go after what's his and Mila is his future, the woman he sees having a home with, a family, a forever, so you know what that means... the ultimate caveman alpha male willing to kill to protect his mate and that's exactly the case here.
You know, it's funny how life works, sometimes bad things have to happen for good things to appear in your life afterwards... In this case, it's what happened here with Jax and Mila, fate brought these two soulmates together and gave them their happily ever after and all caused by a creepy stalker.
These two, especially Mila, must go through some things/obstacles to reach their happy ending, that's including finding out who the stalker is and when you guys read this and find out who it actually was, it will shock you but I can't spoil it for you peeps, but I can still give you a small hint on who that person was; he was in the same kind of industry as Mila...
I also loved Jax's character so much :) He's my kind of OTT alpha male who would do anything and I mean anything for his woman, including putting his life before hers to save her from any harm and would even confront death for his Mila.
