Lucas and Courtney both have lived a different hell. Courtney divorced of a disgusting man who cheated on her and impregnated the woman. She was completely devastated since she has infertility issues so this literally imploded her entire world and she decided she had to move and start living again. I got to say, Courtney is strong as hell and an awesome heroine :)

Lucas, we've learned about him with his brother's story, Levi and Fawn's story, and his situation wasn't pretty at all. I felt for him and his adorable daughter, Maddi but at the end, everything happens for a reason and Courtney became exactly what they needed and Lucas and Maddi became the family that she's always wanted and thought she could never have. Fate had them destined to be a family and what a beautiful family it was :) <3

The ending was beautiful, funny, passionate, awesome and there's a great surprise for all of us at the end, that made this story truly a five star read :)

Their first encounter and interaction was funny as hell as well as awkward too but it was the start of pursuit of Emelie by Clayton, who is not put off by Emelie's constant rejections, yet she has her reasons...
